The Judith Essex School of Dancing is registered with:
- The Royal Academy of Dancing
- The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing
- The International Dance Teachers Association
and has been teaching dance for some 25 years in the local area. Latterly supported by a larger team of qualified teachers.During the period the school has built a reputation for the teaching of traditional dance skills, but with fun and enjoyment. The core subjects are ballet, tap and modern dance which are available for most children with convenient combination classes.
The children start at 3 years of age with first ballet steps, then a year or two later other forms of dance are added. Dancing is so important for the development of good co-ordination and confidence.

The "Modern" classes embrace a variety of dance styles, which reflect current trends and include contemporary, jazz, hip hop, street, rock and roll and others.
Of course, experiencing the Joy of Dance is also beneficial for adults as a way of maintaining fitness.
